We Are The People

Jeremiah 32:19 “¹⁹ You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.”

In the Book of Isaiah Jesus is prophetically called the “Wonderful Counselor”.  He can counsel every man because He knows us and sees all that we do and knows our heart’s intent.

We find ourselves in a day when the supposedly brightest minds in Washington DC have thrown up their hands and are saying, “There is no clear path for avoiding a government shutdown.”

Perhaps we are “reaping the fruit of our doings.”  Years of animosity have created an environment of stubborn stalemate.  Leaders of people are called to govern according to the rules like a football referee.

America’s rule book is our Constitution and Amendments.  That is where both sides of a debate must honestly look for answers.  America is a nation founded on Godly principles for human existence and righteous governance.

Pray that our leaders from the White House to Congress will cease their own doing and turn to God for His guidance through prayer and the Word of God.
