We Are The People

Government Shutdown.  It has affected many with job furloughs, monument and National Park closures to the public, etc  It’s a shame to see people deprived of what is already theirs being American.

  Many years ago Jesus confronted religious people who were keeping people out of God’s kingdom and He didn’t have kind words for them.

Matthew 23:13  “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.”

    Jesus criticized complex religion that blocks the entrance to the Kingdom of God.  He also told us of the simplicity of God’s plan

John 14:6  “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

    The reason God made it easy for man to be ushered into the Kingdom of God instead of being kept out.

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

     The doorway is open wide so anyone who desires can enter in.

  Pray today that ministers of the Gospel and all Christians communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ in a simple yet effective way through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
