We once again gather in churches and homes to lift our prayers to God in faith and expectation. Today is just two days before elections in America. We will be praying for people going to the polling place and for those they will be voting for.
Let us join our hearts in intercession concerning the following three prayer focus points for 15 minutes between 6 and 9pm (all time zones).
Luke 1:17 tells us that John the Baptist, a man who prepared the way for time to come, was used by God to “turn the disobedient to the wisdom of the just”.
Prayer Point #1) That those who will be newly elected to office be men and women who will seek the heart of God to lead with wisdom according to the word of God. May our prayer as voters be that we will vote using Godly wisdom.
Prayer Point #2) Pray that those who will be newly elected to public office on Tuesday will not reward those who are disobedient to the word of God. And that elected officials work toward the goal of society once again seeing the value of living according to the wisdom of the just which is the rule of law in America.
Prayer Point #3) John the Baptist was a man who was charged with “making ready a people prepared for the Lord,” according to Luke 1:17. Pray that the newly elected officials understand the day in which we live and that they accept their responsibility to prepare people for these times of instability and a future that is unsure in so many ways.
