We Are The People

Ezra 7:25 “And you, Ezra, according to your God-given wisdom, set magistrates and judges who may judge all the people who are in the region beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your God; and teach those who do not know them.” 

This verse includes the words of a non-believing king who wanted to see a land governed by the laws of God.  It was his desire to have the knowledge of God’s ways in every court.

May our prayer be that people be appointed to judge the land who are Christians that will judge righteously according to the rule of law and not the opinions of men.  Let us also pray that judges who are not Christians be open to learn the Word of God and even be encouraged by leaders in the land to do so.
