Wednesday December 11, 2013 “God, Make Yourself a Name”

Neh 9:10-12  “You showed signs and wonders against Pharaoh,
Against all his servants, And against all the people of his land.
For You knew that they acted proudly against them.
So You made a name for Yourself, as it is this day.
11 And You divided the sea before them,
So that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land;
And their persecutors You threw into the deep,
As a stone into the mighty waters.
12 Moreover You led them by day with a cloudy pillar,
And by night with a pillar of fire, To give them light on the road
Which they should travel.”
   The God of miracles made a Name for Himself through His mighty deeds.  God took the wheels off of the chariots. The persecutors of God’s people were thrown into the Sea like a man would throw a rock.
  The Lord led His people and gave them a light to show them the way they needed to go so they might inherit the land of promise.
  Let’s pray in agreement today that the pride of those who persecute God’s people in America be dealt with by the Lord as He did with Israel in ancient Egypt and the wilderness journey.
   May we all seek the heart of God found in His word that be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path as we once again find our way and share that path with others who must step out of darkness and into the light of God’s promises.  As people begin to trust the Lord, the Name of the Lord will become a praise in the land and that will draw all men unto Him.
