Tuesday December 17, 2013 “Make Room”

Luke 2:7 “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
No room!  We all can remember Christmas plays that shut out Jesus and His mother Mary.  The reason for “no room” was not as much a prejudice as it was the lack of accommodations for an event such as a kingdom-wide census that brought people to their ancestral homes.
Today, especially during this Christmas season we can easily put people, places and things first leaving little or no room for Jesus.  This can happen in politics, business, society, home or in our heart.  Pray today that America, beginning with us, places Jesus first this Christmas season and in the days ahead as we approach the New Year.  Remember, if we seek Jesus and His righteousness all things will be added to our life.
