Tuesday January 7, 2014 “He sees the Heart”

Mark 2:5-8 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?
Jesus could see the thoughts and intents of every man’s heart. He is about to perform a miracle and people look for a way to trap Jesus with His Words.  But the Lord turned their ideas upside down, putting the scoffers on the defensive.
Let’s pray in agreement today that we have discerning hearts and words to stop the critics as we share God’s Word with those who will hear and receive the grace of God that brings forgiveness and healing.
