Saturday February 1, 2014 “Forget the Clock”

Luke 1:21 “And the people waited for Zacharias, and marveled that he lingered so long in the temple.”
Zacharias was at work when God revealed His plan to the man of God.  Those outside who waited for Zacharias to “punch the clock” and come out after his “shift” ended marveled at the fact that the man of God worked overtime without pay.
In today’s world many do just enough to “get by” and when someone is dedicated to their job others worry that they themselves will look bad because their colleague is willing to “go the extra mile”.
Today let’s unite in prayers of agreement that Christian workers cause people to marvel at the work they do and the excellence in which they do it.  This will reveal to the world that work is sacred and a gift from God, not a dreaded necessity.
