We Are The People

This week our daily prayer emphasis will be about love since this is Valentine week and our thoughts naturally gravitate toward love.

Eph 3:17-19   that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸ may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— ¹⁹ to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

 This is a prayer of St. Paul for the church at Ephesus. In modern life, people desire to be rooted and grounded financially, physically, educationally and relationally.  People feel secure when they achieve these important elements of life, but the Apostle’s prayer is for the believers to be established in the love of God.

  Today in our prayers of agreement let’s pray this prayer of St. Paul’s for our brothers and sisters in Christ.  When a person’s life is established in the very heart of God as Jesus said, “all else is added to our lives” (as God allows according to His purposes).  This will result in rest for our souls and that is what America needs to experience today – rest and peace in our souls.
