Tuesday February 18, 2014 “Test-imony”

John 9:8-12  Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?”  Some said, “This is he.” Others said, “He is like him.”  He said, “I am he.”  10 Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?”  11 He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.”  12 Then they said to him, “Where is He?”  He said, “I do not know.”
This week as we look at this healing of the blind  man by Jesus “The Light of the World”, we will pray in agreement concerning the effects of the light shining into the man’s life.
The neighbors “grilled” the man who received his sight.  The man’s eyes must have sparkled due to the fact his eyes were opened for the first time ever.  His neighbors could hardly recognize him.  We are told in v.9 the people said, “He is like him.”  In v.10 “How did this happen?” The man answered in v.11 “Jesus made clay, anointed my eyes and told me to wash in the pool of Siloam – so I did and I was healed”.
The man who was once blind could not explain how he was healed but he knew he had received something from Jesus.
Pray today that those who receive miraculous deliverance will be quick to give the credit to the Lord and not become discouraged by people who “grill” them about the evident change in their life. Good men can take the heat and stand strong during these days of interrogation that believers are experiencing.  Stand your ground.
