Wednesday March 5, 2014 “Separated”

Leviticus 8:23-24   and Moses killed it. Also he took some of its blood and put it on the tip of Aaron’s right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. 24 Then he brought Aaron’s sons. And Moses put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. And Moses sprinkled the blood all around on the altar.
The Lord had the Priests cleansed, clothed and now separated unto Himself.  The blood applied to the right ear, thumb and big toe was also placed on the altar (a place of sacrifice) and a type of the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ.
The ear represents the filter by which we determine what we will allow into this most important “gate” of our body.  For what we hear determines what we do in life.  The blood applied to the ear speaks of hearing words and accepting or rejecting them.  The hearing of voices in the world spoke of accepting good and rejecting what is evil.
The thumb speaks of our strength and what we “put our hand to” in life.  The big toe speaks of our walk (the paths we take in life).  Understanding these three and the separation unto the Lord through the blood helps us to keep our lives focused on pleasing God in becoming who we are and what we do in life.
Pray today that Christian America will hear the voice from heaven, do all things unto the Lord and walk in faith, love and into the will of God in reverence and the fear of God. That we will desire above all else to please God in all things.
