We Are The People

Neh 2:17-18  Then I said to them, “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.” ¹⁸ And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me.  So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work.

 It didn’t take much for the officials that Nehemiah spoke to – to “Spring into Action”.  “Let us rise up and build”. May this the first day of Spring signal a clarion call that it is time all of us rise up and build. Chapt 3 reveals that there was not only the desire and declaration to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls, but also a resolve by all of God’s people to get the job done.

    America has just come off a severe winter season that doesn’t seem to want to go away. In the same way, the moral, ethical and financial winter has left our land in rubble.

   Pray in agreement today that all of us will rise up (no, Spring into action) this Spring season as we see the new growth in nature around us, pushing away the darkness of winter and giving way to the bursting forth of new life. We need revival – new life in America today.
