Saturday April 12, 2014 “Wait and Be Strong”
Neh 6:9 9 For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.” Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
“Now therefore” – because of the present conditions – “strengthen my hands”. Nehemiah understood the need for the walls to completely surround the city so that God’s people could once again live in their homes without fear. The man of God knew he must be strengthened for the task.
Is. 40:31″ But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary,They shall walk and not faint.”
To wait on God in the original language means to be wrapped around God like a twine cord is bound. This means that the child of God through prayer and God’s Word must seek the heart of God and wait on His leading as to how one can help rebuild the “walls of salvation” around America in our day.
Pray that 2014 be a year when God’s people draw near to God and that the Lord rest His hand upon our country as we hear His voice and do what we must in bringing us out of the darkness of humanism back to a nation of Biblical World view and policy.
