We Are The People

Nehemiah 8:17     “17 So the whole assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and sat under the booths; for since the days of Joshua the son of Nun until that day the children of Israel had not done so. And there was very great gladness.”

How quickly God’s people forgot God’s ways. Joshua brought Israel into the Promised Land. After His leadership and influence ended, the people did not obey God’s Word nor did they observe His feasts.

America’s forefathers had a faith in God and His Word. The very foundations of our country are based upon the Word of God. Because we have refused to follow God’s ways, we have been “captured” (been taken captive) by sin and Satan. We have and are suffering because we have chosen our own paths in life and not God’s.

Today, let us pray in agreement that God and his Word be honored once again by His people first. This will result in “every great gladness” as in Nehemiah’s day. People that do not know the Lord will then see the change in us and that will open their hearts to hear our story that is a “game changer” for all who choose to follow Jesus Christ.
