Habakkuk 3:1-2 “A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, on Shigionoth
2 O LORD, I have heard Your speech and was afraid;
O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years!
In the midst of the years make it known;
In wrath remember mercy.”
After holding our breath and interceding on the behalf of our nation we turn to prayers for revival in America as we enjoy the season of harvest in the land.
The Prophet lived among people who refused to live righteously before God (see chapter 1). He then prayed fervently for God to extend mercy and revive His people.
It is no secret that Christians in America today do not seem to live any different than people who do not know the Lord. Habakkuk feared what might happen if things did not change in his day so he prayed for revival.
Today, let us pray in agreement that in His mercy God stir the church in America to revival.
• It was good to see some of our prayer partners at the Prayer Walk in Fairfax City yesterday.
