We Are The People

1Samuel 7:3 Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the LORD, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

It seems that we have become captive to the ungodly ways of man in America. Those things that were once shameful are now considered the “rights” people are entitled to whether their actions are an affront to God’s word or not.
God’s people, Israel had become captive to their enemy, the Philistines. Israel was not a total victim but by their acceptance of their domination by the Philistines, they had divided hearts. For the next couple of days we will look at the words Samuel the Prophet spoke that would lead the nation in becoming free from the enemy. The first step was return to the Lord with all of your hearts.
Pray today that Christian America be willing to lay aside habits and ways of living which pulls them in opposite directions. This causes stress and anxiety. Only having an undivided heart will bring freedom and peace to the child of God.
