We Are The People

1 Samuel 7:3 “Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the LORD, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

Yesterday we began looking at the Prophet’s words that could bring freedom from domination by her enemies to Israel. Today we will consider part 2 of the message from heaven that promised freedom to God’s People. “Put away the foreign gods from among you.”
Pray today that Christians desire God’s word and turn from the ways of other religions that lead to demonic influences, i.e. Yoga and other Eastern religious ways. They did not turn completely from the one true God, they just mixed in a little of this and a little of that but God demands, “No other gods or ways of worship like the heathen.” Pray that there be a move of the Spirit that will bring us to the place of worshipping God in Spirit and in truth.
