Sunday October 19, 2014 “Pray without Ceasing and Believe Before Seeing”

1Kings 18:44-46 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”
45 Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. 46 Then the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
Welcome to Sunday evening “We are the People” intercession for America. It is asked that you invest at least 15 minutes in prayer concerning the 3 Prayer Focus Points between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones). May God bless you and multiply your time back 100 fold as you pray in agreement with other believers across America tonight.
We have been focusing on prayer for revival recently and tonight we will focus on what happens when the windows of heaven open from the story of Elijah and Ahab.
Thanks for joining us and for having a heart for America.
Focus #1 v.44 Seven times the prophet prayed and the seventh time there came just a small sign that God was answering His prayers. But that was enough for the man of God. The rains would come in such a way that it would stop people (even the king) in his daily duties. “Go before the rain stops you.”
Pray that God’s people take note of the small cloud and prepare themselves and others for the coming season of the rain from heaven that will interrupt business as usual and bring our nation to the place of “seeking the Kingdom of God first.” This will result in all things being added to America that we truly need – “the blessings of God that makes rich and there’s no sorrow added to it.”
Focus #2 As Ahab the king listened to the words of Elijah’s servant – may our prayers of agreement tonight include those in authority having “ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches” and humility to be obedient to the heavenly calling.
Focus #3 There was an evident empowerment that came upon Elijah in this day of heaven’s rain. The man of God outran the King’s chariot pulled by powerful horses. Pray tonight that all of God’s people ask for and receive the Holy Spirit’s power to lead the coming revival and that God’s people leap forward in areas of leadership as a sign of God’s blessing resting upon His people.
