2 Chronicles 29:5 “⁵ and said to them: “Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the Lord God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.”

Hezekiah understood that personal sanctification must be accompanied by sanctifying the house of worship. In the days of Hezekiah the physical temple could be defiled in so many ways according to Jewish law.  In our times the “gathering places” and “houses of worship” have been defiled by the Fathers in that the ways of this world that are not godly have become acceptable behavior among God’s people.

Pray today that the Ephesians Chapter 4 “five-fold” calling of ministry: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers will clean up the doctrine of holiness for the people of God so that the Body of Christ will know how to live upright in this world.
