Friday November 14, 2014 “Prayer and Repentance”

2 Chronicles 29:22-23 22 “So they killed the bulls, and the priests received the blood and sprinkled it on the altar. Likewise they killed the rams and sprinkled the blood on the altar. They also killed the lambs and sprinkled the blood on the altar. 23 Then they brought out the male goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly, and they laid their hands on them.”
Because the sins of God’s people were great and the lack of instruction in God’s ways and worship had been neglected for so long the sacrifice required was also great.
We have been praying for revival in America over these past weeks. The battle for what is right in America must be fought in the spirit realm where what is behind the evil is exposed and brought under the authority of Almighty God.
The blood of the sacrifices was sprinkled upon the altar for that is where God and man meet. Publicly before the king and the general public, the priests laid their hands on the sacrifice. This signified that they were associating themselves with the people and their sins that the sacrifice would be offered up for.
Pray today that men and women who are leaders in the church stand publicly and pray and repent privately for the sins of our land. People need to be taught what is right and wrong because America, like Israel, has become a land that has ceased to worship and sin has become a social norm. This has resulted in a line that is blurred regarding good and evil and the heart of man naturally is drawn to evil.
