Sunday December 7, 2014 “Be Heard”

Isaiah 58:1 “Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins.”
Welcome to the Sunday evening edition of “We are the People” prayer ministry. Every Sunday 6-9 pm (all time zones) it is asked that participants invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement concerning three prayer focus points.
This chapter of the Book of Isaiah is a call to national and personal revival. We must need this call in America today and lift our voices that others might hear the word of the Lord.
Prayer Focus #1 Pray that we who know the truth about life and Jesus Christ, the Lord of life, will have the faith, courage and the Holy Spirit’s anointing so that we might declare the truth of God in this, many times, directionless population.
Prayer Focus #2 God wanted His people to know how they were breaking His law. It is so easy to say, “God doesn’t address this issue or area of life in His Word”. Truth is people who say such things are simply justifying their actions and hiding from the truth.
Pray that Christian leaders explain how certain behaviors and attitudes may not be directly addressed in the Word of God – they are not God-honoring nor is the behavior keeping with the Lord’s command to care for our body, the Temple of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer Focus #3 Show the house of Jacob their sins. Jacob was a son of Isaac and brother of Esau. Jacob was a deceiver and a usurper of his brother’s right to His father’s blessing of the first-born. After a series of refining actions Jacob was named “Israel” by God.
Using the name Jacob in this verse refers to the man prior to his change of heart through the work of God.
Pray today that people in our land who do not yet have a relationship with God will pay attention to the “rule of law” in America which is based upon the Word of God as Christian ministers preach the truth of God.
