We Are The People

Matthew 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus speaks here of people who talk a good talk but do not walk the walk. Jesus walked and talked righteousness. He resisted all temptation in the wilderness by Satan. Jesus refused to take the easy road or compromise His allegiance to the Father for momentary pleasure or honor. Righteousness was His moral and ethical compass always.
Pray today that Christians in America will choose to live righteously and resist the tempter who attempts to deceive us into compromise. Remember “righteousness will exalt the nation.”
