Friday January 9, 2015 “A Righteous House Stands”

Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
As we continue to look at righteousness and blessing upon our land, these words from the Sermon on the Mount teach us that our life is a book that people can read. When others know that we live in obedience to God, they can see that our house “stands” in times when others “sink” facing similar circumstances.
Pray today that as believers face trials and storms that they will stand strong and uncompromisingly upon God’s Word, thus bringing a testimony of God’s faithfulness and goodness to His obedient children.
