Tuesday January 13, 2015 “At the Altar”

Matthew 5:23-24 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Jesus doesn’t seem to expect absolute perfection from people but He does expect us to be absolutely serious about our worship of God. The Lord desires for us to be at peace with men before coming to make peace with God.
Pray today that the hearts of God’s people desire to be at peace with their fellow man and humble enough to make peace even when they are not at fault so that their sacrifice of praise in worship will be acceptable and pleasing to God.
