We Are The People

Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Over the last weeks we have been using the “Sermon on the Mount” as a prayer guide. Tonight we find ourselves not only gathering for our Sunday Night Edition of We Are The People but also in the center of God’s will being done on earth as it is in heaven from what we call the Lord’s prayer.
Tonight it is asked that you invest a minimum of 5 minutes from 6-9 pm praying for our nation as we join hearts and voices in agreement upon the following three prayer focus points concerning the will of God. God bless you for joining us this evening.
Prayer Focus #1 “Your will be done” can refer to God’s purpose in history being accomplished through His people. Pray tonight that as godly leaders and citizens of this great land 200 years ago believe God had a plan for America, that we today will see destiny’s great call for the United States to fulfil God’s purpose in the earth in our times to reach around the world with the Gospel of peace and the love of God.
Prayer Focus #2 God’s will has an ethical component to it. Let us pray tonight that America turn to God for guidance concerning the many ethical situations we face in our country today. Medical, economic and social ills and issues must conform with God’s revealed will, which is the Word of God, if we are to experience God’s best blessings.
Prayer Focus #3 Wherever God’s will is accepted and obeyed on earth His Kingdom comes and is established. Let us agree in prayer tonight that the Word of God (His will) be restored as the final authority in America once again and that Christians as individuals respect God’s Word through obedience to its righteous demands and see it to be their responsibility to influence others to live in agreement with the teachings of the Bible. It is of utmost importance that we walk in unity as a people. Jesus said “a house divided will not stand.”
