We Are The People

Matthew 6:13 “¹³ And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.  For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

James tells us that temptation can lead to sin and sin to death.  To avoid having temptation overcome us, our daily prayer must be “Help us to not fail the test.  Give us your strength, Oh God, so we will not give into temptation.”  This is surrender to the need for Divine enablement.

Pray that as a nation our leaders and citizens will turn away from the temptation of “quick-fix” solutions to making decisions that will result in enduring positive results in fiscal, environmental and international relations.  Pray that we be willing to sacrifice short-term for long-term benefits for our children and grandchildren.
