We Are The People

Matthew 6:22-23 “²² “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. ²³ But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”

Jesus points out in this text that a lack of charity with one’s possessions is a sure sign that darkness reigns within a person.  It is one thing to be in the dark but worse to have darkness in you.  Generosity is a sign that a child of God has moved into the world of light and it affects their entire life.

Pray tonight that more believers in America allow the light in them to shine through their eyes so that the world can see Jesus in them as they discover “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
