Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
In our world we develop complex networks and schedules to sustain what we perceive as life. We flit around everyday morning til night – but at the end of the day can we say “thank you Lord for your daily provision“ or do we think that we have worked hard and kept focused and that is why we feel good about a good night’s rest.
Jesus said, “the Heavenly Father cares for the birds.” Could it be that faith in God for staple blessings like food has “gone to the birds” in America. And should we not go to the birds as Jesus said to return to a place of dependence upon our Heavenly Father for our daily bread.
Pray with us today that we, as a nation, see our Heavenly Father as a good Daddy who cares for all from the least to the greatest alike. He desires for us to be dependent upon Him like the birds do and honor Him daily for His provision of seasons of sunshine and rain that bring blessings to man.
