We Are The People

Matthew 5:5 “⁵ Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.”

Meekness seems to be the wrong way to possess anything in life.  Aggressive behavior usually yields great return in this world by ruthless individuals or nations.  But in the upside down kingdom of God the meek become possessors.

Isaiah 57:13 reads, “He who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land and shall inherit My holy mountain.”  A person who truly trusts in the Lord understands that He is their defense, strength and provider.  Knowing that truth produces a quiet confidence which reveals itself as meekness.

Pray that in the face of great aggression and pride that God’s people will exude calm and peaceful trust in the Lord.  This keeps people in the position where they can hear the Lord’s voice and possess the Earth as He directs and that they will do it in God’s timing.
