We Are The People

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden”

Jesus said, “A city on a hill cannot be hid.” The lights of an elevated city brightens the horizon at night. A horizon is merely the limit of one’s sight.
As the people of God we are to help people see beyond natural sight to the place where they can see us as those who light the way with hope for the future. Many times we are viewed as people who believe there is no future for us in the current lack of spiritual environment in America.
Pray today that God’s people will see their calling as one that lights the way for society to see that the preferred future for our country is living life taking the high road (city on a hill) morally and spiritually. This alone will draw others to the place beyond the steeples on the horizon where they can find fulfillment and true joy.
