We Are The People

Song of Solomon 6:10  “Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Fair as the moon,
Clear as the sun, Awesome as an army with banners?“

     Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America. Today is Flag Day in America and the birthday of the United States Army (The American Continental Army at the time).
On this day as we celebrate with banners all over this great land, let us remember the words of Solomon that in typology points to the position of the church of Jesus Christ.
On this night as we gather from 6:00 – 9:00p.m. (all time zones) to pray for a minimum of 15 minutes for our Nation, let us give thanks to God for this great land a prayer that there be a renewed respect for the flag that defines who we are as a Nation.

PRAYER FOCUS #1 Solomon wrote “she looks forth as the morning”. Let us lift prayers of agreement that Christians see a new day arising in America. A day of righteousness being restored. Much of the pain we feel in America today is from the unrighteousness and sin in the land that has been the result of licentious leadership.
Pray that we who believe in the Word of God see ourselves in the light of its Truth being more than conquerors and overcomers who through our influence can turn this nation “right-side up” once again.

PRAYER FOCUS #2 Solomon describes God’s people as being “fair as the moon and clear as the sun”. This speaks of transparency and purity.
Pray today that God’s pure light be seen through His people who are a reflection of His Glory in the world.
Pray that believers allow the Holy Spirit to work in their lives to purify motives and intents of their lives so that our influence to establish righteousness be seen as profitable and with good intentions for all Americans.

PRAYER FOCUS #3 Solomon calls this fair lady an “Awesome Army with banners.” Psalm 20:5 “In the Name of our God we will set up our banners.”
With vision to see righteousness restored and motives purified the people of God are ready to lift the Lord’s banner high as soldiers of the cross.
Pray tonight that the people of God purified and empowered be seen by the world around us and the enemies of the cross as an awesome army, that liberating and loving force, who stands tall in this day of moral midgets.
