We Are The People

Acts 8:34&35 “³⁴ So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” ³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.”

Preoccupation can stop people from seeing the simplicity of Jesus Christ and being saved. In Acts Chapter 8 Philip, an evangelist, stepped into an Ethiopian man’s life and helped him to stop stumbling over scripture he could not understand and accept Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Pray that those with evangelistic gifting help the church see that even in the pursuit of good we can become distracted and miss the very basic ministry of the church – to bring people to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Pray that we all have our eyes open to the truth of the Gospel and leave the difficult to understand scripture to the timing of the Holy Spirit in helping us walk in the light of truth.
