We Are The People

Zechariah 2:1-2 “Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. ² So I said, ‘Where are you going?’ And he said to me, ‘To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.’”

In context God was measuring the city to build a wall about it. It seems that God believes in the construction of walls to define borders and protect inhabitants. A man had a surveying line in his hand to measure things, square the corners and make sure the walls were built straight and on a sure foundation.

In a spiritual sense, Jesus Lord of the Nations, desires for our nation to be squarely set upon the Word of God that is our foundation. Pray in agreement today that America as a nation be acutely aware of the Lord measuring us according to His revealed will, His word, and make spiritual and moral adjustments that will seal the borders so our adversary the devil doesn’t wreak more havoc on the land because of our ungodly ways. “Righteousness alone will once again exalt the nation.”  Proverbs 14:34
