Wednesday August 19, 2015 “The Rebuke of God”

Zechariah 3:1&2  ” Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”
“The Lord rebuke you, Satan!” It is good to know that God stands with us and for us when He chooses us for a specific time and task, as was true in the Book of Zechariah. The nation of Israel had stepped away from God and now the Lord was calling them home.
The Lord said, “I have chosen Jerusalem and because of that, the Lord rebuked the opposition to work God was doing in and through His people.
Let us agree in prayer today that God’s people in America have a sense of destiny and that there is an understanding that when God is leading the charge, He fights the battles as He did for Moses against the forces of Pharaoh. His will and willing participants is the perfect combination for overcoming those things that would attempt to destroy this wonderful land God has given us to enjoy. We must see the tide of indecency and divisiveness turned back in our day in God’s way.
