We Are The People

Zechariah 3:10-4:1 “10 In that day,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘Everyone will invite his neighbor under his vine and under his fig tree. 1Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.”

Welcome to our Sunday night edition of “We are the People” intercession for our nation. Every Sunday evening we agree on three prayer focus points in prayer. It is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9pm (all time zones).  We also have a daily prayer blog and invite you to join us as we pray using the Book of Zechariah as a prayer guide.

Prayer Focus #1: In the day that God will “remove the iniquity in one day”, verse 3-4 says “in that day everyone will invite his neighbor.” That is definitely an integral part of evil being removed – God’s people inviting friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. to join them for prayer and worship. Pray that God’s people lovingly and boldly invite others to the best thing going on the planet – God’s Kingdom.

Prayer Focus #2: In Zechariah 3:10 we are told that people invited neighbors under their vines and trees. These are places of close fellowship and acceptance. Pray that the Christ body will invite people to be saved and welcome them into their circles of love and are revealing that they are accepted in the beloved.

Prayer Focus #3: God sent the message from heaven through the angel, “Wake up!” and understand the hour you live in. We must arise as the church in our day. Pray that God’s people awaken to the state of our nation and society and go forward possessing the land as one fully awake.
