Tuesday October 13, 2015 “Obey Me in the Good Times”

Zechariah 7:7 “Should you not have obeyed the words which the Lord proclaimed through the former prophets when Jerusalem and the cities around it were inhabited and prosperous, and the South and the Lowland were inhabited?”
The cities of Israel had been prosperous with many inhabitants.  God was emphasizing the fact that His people should learn to listen to His “still small voice” in the good times as well as His crying out to us when there are treacherous times.  God desires for us to respond to His goodness.
Pray today that God’s people in America learn to listen and respond to His voice in these “relatively good times” so we can avoid those not so good times that can be very grievous.  Do not take the goodness of God for granted.
