We Are The People

Zechariah 7:12 12 Yes, they made their hearts like flint, refusing to hear the law and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. Thus great wrath came from the LORD of hosts.

The people chose to refuse to hear the words of the Holy Spirit this Bible verse tells us. Why would God’s people refuse to hear God’s Spirit speak to them? The answer is fear. When God spoke from the mountain, the people told Moses “You go speak to God and tell us what He has to say. We don’t want to face the Lord and have Him speak directly to us.” Today it is no different – people turn a deaf ear to the Holy Spirit. They fear what He may command us to do.
Pray in agreement today that God’s people in America have a desire to hear what God speaks to us so we might be a part of His plan in our day to shape a godly future for us and our descendants.
