Zechariah 8:9 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Let your hands be strong, you who have been hearing in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, Who spoke in the day the foundation was laid for the house of the Lord of hosts, That the temple might be built.”
Welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We Are the People” intercession for America. Every Sunday evening 6-9 PM (all time zones) we have people join their hearts together in prayer for a minimum of 15 minutes focusing on three prayer points.
Thank you for joining us tonight and do invite others to join this time of prayers of agreement for the land we love. You can also join us Monday through Saturday at any time of day as we focus on one point of need in America today.
Prayer Focus #1: “Let your hands be strong, you who have been hearing in these days.” When God is about to do something new there is always strong opposition that requires strength in God’s people and fearless faith. We see this with Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Nehemiah, etc. God is speaking to His church in America today about resetting the ancient landmarks of faith, truth and righteousness in the land.
Let us join our hearts in prayer that Christians in America not be fearful as they hear what is happening in our land that is destroying us from within. Pray that in this day we draw near to God and be strong in Him and in the power of His might as we bring the light of God’s word and ways back into government, schools and society.
Prayer Focus #2: Have God’s people heard the words spoken in the day the foundation was laid? Pray today that all newly elected officials know and govern according to our Constitution, Amendments and Bill of Rights. Also pray for our citizenry to become familiar with the same.
Prayer Focus #3: “Listen so the Temple might be built.” In many ways our nation must be rebuilt – financially, socially in health care, etc. Pray that the new Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, listen for God’s voice of direction in rebuilding the land. Pray also that he will stick to his ways of being a strong Christian and Constitutionalist despite much pressure to compromise.
