We Are The People

Zechariah 8:18-19 “¹⁸ Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, ¹⁹ “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts For the house of Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.’”

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it is meant to be a feast of joy and gladness.  Pray that believers keep that in focus as we gather together to ask the Lord’s blessings.  It is so easy to get caught up in the ills of America and the world and complain like people without hope.  But we have a God of all hope.

Pray today that we shine as lights in the darkness as many people will focus on the evil and loss as they gather on this feast of cheerfulness.  Bring some laughter and cheer to those who are sorrowful in heart.
