We Are The People

Zechariah 9:15 “The LORD of hosts will defend them; They shall devour and subdue with slingstones. They shall drink and roar as if with wine; They shall be filled with blood like basins, Like the corners of the altar.”

“They shall devour and subdue with slingstones.” The enemies of God’s people had the best of weapons of warfare in that day, similar to those of Goliath. As David brought down Goliath so the Jews would do with the sling and stones.
The weapons of those who oppose good today are not only mighty, they are technologically advanced and those that use them are skilled warriors of evil.
Let us pray today that weapons fashioned against God’s people be brought to nothing through the church as we use the wisdom of God and even ways that seem foolish to man to deflect the enemy’s flaming arrows through media.
We must use that same media (the sword of Goliath) to “cut off the head of the giant” thus silencing his threatening demeaning and destructive voice.
