Monday January 18, 2016 “Remember Martin”

Zechariah 10:5 “They shall be like mighty men, who tread down their enemies
in the mire of the streets in the battle. They shall fight because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be put to shame.”
Last night our final point of three directed us to pray that there will be mighty men raised up in our day like David’s “Mighty Men of Valor”. As we continue to follow the Book of Zechariah as a prayer guide we will focus in prayer on the words, “They shall be like men who tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle.”
As we remember Martin Luther King Jr. today and his battle in the streets for civil rights in the 1960’s, let us follow his footsteps of peaceful yet powerful exercising of our civil and constitutional rights like gatherings in Washington DC and other cities in America on Friday in the battle for the unborn. Pray today that the gatherings are peaceful and the participants be kept safe as they exercise their first amendment rights.
