We Are The People

Zechariah 11:17 ¹⁷ “Woe to the worthless shepherd, who leaves the flock! A sword shall be against his arm and against his right eye; His arm shall completely wither, and his right eye shall be totally blinded.”

The worthless shepherd is under the judgment of God due to leaving the flock. Even though the Lord said He would raise up the worthless shepherd (V. 16) the shepherd is now condemned. Like Pharaoh in ancient Israel, this shepherd took advantage of his position and God brought him down.

There are some leaders whom God has allowed to serve in that capacity in America but they have gone beyond their calling and God brought them down. Pray that shepherds in America will understand that to lead is a sacred trust and that one day they will stand before God and give an account of their stewardship.
