Sunday May 15, 2016 “Holy Pots”

Zechariah 14:20&21  “ In that day “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lord’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.”
Welcome to the Sunday evening edition of “We Are The People” prayer for America.  Thank you for choosing to join us tonight and we ask that you invite others to become a part of these prayers of agreement every Sunday evening from 6-9 pm  (all time zones).  It is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes in intercession following the 3 prayer points that follow.
Today is Pentecost Sunday and what a timely ending of the Book of Zechariah as a prayer guide. Most people know the great verse found in Zechariah 4:6 “Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord”.  These are prophetic words that point to the Day of Pentecost recorded in the Book of Acts chap 2 and the outpouring of God’s Spirit upon the Early Church.
Keeping in mind the words of the Apostle Paul who writes that the believer is an earthen vessel that holds the Lord’s treasure (the Holy Spirit), let us join our hearts and voices in prayers of agreement tonight.
Prayer Focus #1   “Holiness unto the Lord” engraved on the bells and ordinary pots became as the bowls (holy vessels) before the altar.  God desires to pour His Spirit out and fill ordinary pots (the human spirit and body) with the treasure of the Holy Spirit and then pour out of God’s Spirit in their everyday interactions with other people.
Pray that God’s people in America will be open to the holiness and the empowerment of the Spirit of God in their lives.
Prayer Focus #2  “Every pot shall be holiness to the Lord.”
Pray today that God’s people will pursue a holy life that will provide a continual flow of God’s Spirit to our world as we separate ourselves unto the Lord and His purpose in the Earth.
Prayer Focus #3  “There shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord.”  This speaks of God’s people being so different and holy that, as in the Book of Acts, people who were not believers chose to stand a distance until they were serious about their interest in following Jesus.
Pray that there will be a move of the Holy Spirit in our day that will bring the presence of Jesus into corporate Christian gatherings to the end that true seekers of the Lord will come with open, honest hearts to times of worship. Thus the “Canaanites” or those filled with unbelief will not minimize the work of God like what happened in Nazareth with Jesus.
