Friday May 27, 2016 “Pride Blinds”

2 Corinthians 4:4  whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
The Greek word we read as ‘blinded’ finds its meaning in the concept of pride.  Pride blinds a person to their own condition.  We have been praying for the salvation of friends, neighbors and countrymen in America.  Pride can be manifested in a person wanting to rule their own life or the refusal to accept the fact that they need a Savior.
Pray today that the blindness of pride be brought down and that a humble and submissive spirit will come upon many who have hardened their hearts to the fact that everyone needs a Savior.  For we are unable to present ourselves to God nor live life abundantly (John 10:10) without Jesus in our life.
