We Are The People

Welcome to the Father’s Day edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.

Every Sunday evening 6-9pm (all time zones) we bow our heads to intercede for a minimum of 15 minutes using three focus points as a guide.  Tonight since it is Father’s Day we will pray for the “Dads” of America.

Statistics tell us that when Fathers serve the Lord, mothers and children will follow their lead.  So let us pray for dads to be good role models and turn their families and the nation back to God.  God bless you for joining our prayers of agreement for the heart and soul of America.

Prayer Focus #1: 1 Corinthians 11:3 “³ But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”  This verse clearly places the husbands will assume their role as spiritual leaders in their homes – loving their wife as Jesus did the church.  Also pray that each husband provide a spiritual covering for his wife so she will feel secure under his leadership.

Prayer Focus #2: Joshua 24:15 “¹⁵ And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Pray that Christian fathers in America make this verse their life statement as far as their children are concerned.  Deuteronomy Chapter 6 tells us that God’s requirement is for godly men to guide their homes throughout the daily routines of life.  This is by example and application of God’s word to everyday activities.

Prayer Focus #3: Proverbs 10:9 “⁹ He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known.”

Integrity is a walk of faith that never changes due to circumstances or environment.  This attitude of integrity results in people feeling secure.

Let us pray tonight that fathers will provide a secure place for their household and nation by living a righteous faith consistently at home, at work and in the community.  Pray also that the “Fathers”, the leaders of America, will live lives of integrity and that their leadership will flow from that personal life of unswerving honesty.
