Acts 17:26-27 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
Here we are 15 years down the road from the disaster of 911 when Extremist Terrorists, without provocation, attacked our nation in New York, D. C. and Pennsylvania. America has been forever changed due to the horrific acts of hatred that day.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday evening edition of “We are the People”. Below you will find three points of prayer for intercession to use as a guide in prayers of agreement.
It is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayer for America between the hours of 6 and 9PM (all time zones). To increase participation you can use your social networks to get the word out to family and friends who love America and care enough to pray. God Bless you for your involvement in W.A.T.P. ministries.
Prayer Focus #1 We live in America at this time because God has ordained it to be so. Pray tonight that all
Americans will have an understanding of this fact and know
it is not by chance that we are here but by the Will of God we make America our home. He will give us the grace and strength to persevere and rise to the challenges we face as a “Nation Under God”.
Prayer Focus #2 We are told in this scripture that we are where we are that we might seek the Lord. Pray today that we who believe will seek the Lord with our whole heart. God knows the times we are living in and the opposition we face as people of God’s Word. If we seek His heart He will give us wisdom how to respond to the ever-changing environment in America toward Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
Prayer Focus #3 v.27 tells us that God is not far from all people. We all are guilty of saying that people are “far from God”. Because of events like 9.11.01 many people ask, “Where is God?” Well, according to Paul’s words God is close by.
Pray today that people who are not believes in Jesus Christ will seek the Truth about God and find that He is always near. Pray that many on this Day of Remembrance will find themselves drawing near to God and experience the power of His presence with them to heal, comfort and strengthen their heart with salvation.
