Monday September 19, 2016 “Open Their Eyes”

Acts 26:17-18 17 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.
These are the words of the resurrected Jesus Christ to the Apostle Paul when He met him on the road to Damascus.  This is the commission the Lord gave to the man who persecuted Christians and had some of them killed.
Paul was sent to open the eyes of both the Jews and the non-Jews.  To open their eyes was of utmost importance.  Men’s eyes are blinded by sin.  The light of the Gospel enables people to see the love of God through the cross of Calvary.
Pray today the God’s people will see in the “Great Commission” their calling to open the eyes of unbelievers who walk in darkness.  When people’s eyes are open they will not stumble in the darkness of sin and the confusion about life and liberty in America.   God helps people see clearly what is good and right in His sight.
