Wednesday December 14, 2016 “Remember He is With Us”

Genesis 35:6-7 So Jacob came to Luz (that is, Bethel), which is in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him. And he built an altar there and called the place El Bethel, because there God appeared to him when he fled from the face of his brother.
Bethel became a place where God met with Jacob, so Jacob built an altar of remembrance there.  We know that God is everywhere at all times but He has chosen to be with His people – in the Garden of Eden, in the Ark of the Covenant, through the wilderness, in the Temple, in an Upper Room, etc.
In this dispensation of grace God has chosen to meet with His people in a gathering place called the church.  Where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them.
Pray in agreement today that God’s people in America will gather in churches across the nation with a spirit of expectation that God will meet us there and speak to His people through Pastors and the gifts of the Holy Spirit who will guide us in truth and show us things to come.
