Thursday December 15, 2016 “Reconciliation”

Genesis 35:6-7 So Jacob came to Luz (that is, Bethel), which is in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him. And he built an altar there and called the place El Bethel, because there God appeared to him when he fled from the face of his brother.
Jacob fled from his brother Esau because Esau discovered Jacob’s deceptive ways that cheated him out of both his birthright and the blessing of the first born.
Pray today that throughout America Christians will practice peacemaking during this wonderful season when “Peace on Earth” is being proclaimed by the angels declaring Jesus’ birth.  There are so many Christians who have chosen to run from situations instead of meeting with God in prayer and finding forgiveness and reconciliation.  That is the message of Christmas.
