We Are The People

Philippians 3:20 ²⁰ For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Paul’s day Roman citizenship was of great value. Paul possessed that earthly citizenship but he reminds the church in Philippi that the most important citizenship we as Christians hold is our heavenly citizenship.

As we see a resurgence of pride in American citizenship let us pray that we will not lose sight that our heavenly citizenship in Christ Jesus is of utmost importance. Our greatest allegiance must be to God and His Kingdom.
